The onboard spa, included in the price, offered a peaceful retreat with heated beds, a steam room, and a sauna. The main dining room, the Amphora Restaurant, provided flexibility with its all-you-can-eat buffet-style dining between 7 and 9 pm. My favorite restaurant, Basil and Bamboo, offered a new pan-Asian and Mediterranean experience with a reservation-only policy. The tuna tartare and black cod were a must-try.
Entertainment and Evening Activities
Evenings were filled with entertainment, from tribute bands to an ABBA night. The crew talent show on the final night was a highlight, with crew members showcasing their skills in sketches, guitar, and dance. The onboard Compass Rose bar, with its plush sofas and entertainment by a saxophonist, provided a perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails.
A Cruise for All Ages
Unlike larger cruise ships, Star Pride offered a relaxed atmosphere without the rush for waterslides or stage shows. The Yacht Club coffee lounge became my favorite spot for a flat white and board games. The ship's amenities and dining options cater to all ages, making it an ideal choice for families, couples, and solo travelers.
